BOCA POLICE ARREST MAN FOR MURDER OF HIS CHILD'S MOM

A 33-year-old man, Egbert Durity,  was arrested yesterday and charged with murdering the mother of his child.
Responding to a welfare check after family members could not reach the woman, officers found the victim inside a home on Gloucester Street Saturday night.  She had been shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.  
Police say Durity admitted shooting the victim while arguing over her possibly moving with the child.  He has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently held without bond.
Officials say the child was safe, with relatives.
