INCREASE IN DEMAND FOR COVID TESTS IN PBC AS POSITIVITY RATE DOUBLES IN FLORIDA

More people are getting tested for Covid at the free sites in Palm Beach County, perhaps as a result of the increase in positive cases.  
Florida has seen its positivity rate double in the last rate with the latest number at 8.4%.
The arrival of the Omicron variant and unvaccinated individuals have contributed to the increase, according to officials.  
Some reports indicate waits of up to two hours at sites.
