PROCUL HARUM FRONTMAN GARY BROOKER DEAD AT 76

One of the most powerful voices in music, Gary Brooker the frontman for Procul Harum, has died following a battle with cancer.  He was 76.
His first single with the group was the 1967 classic A Whiter Shade of Pale.
The group broke up in 1977 at which time Brooker launched a solo career, touring and recording with his good friend Eric Clapton.  He also played piano on All Things Must Pass, the George Harrison tune.
Procul Harum reformed in 1991 and toured until 2019.
